Microsoft Remote Desktop Linux Mint
This article will describe installing Cinnamon desktop environment and XRDP, and connecting to Cinnamon desktop environment via XRDP.
- I am trying to remotely access a Windows 10 machine on my home network from my Linux Mint 18.3 desktop in my office. I installed Remmina and its RDP plug-in from Software Center on my system, and configured a connection to the Win10 desktop.
- Xrdp is a free and open-source implementation of Microsoft RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol) server that enables operating systems other than Microsoft Windows (such as Linux and BSD-style operating systems) to provide a fully functional RDP-compatible remote desktop experience.

- 1. Install XRDP
Remmina is a remote desktop client specifically designed for all the different flavors of the Linux operating system including Linux Mint 20. It fully supports the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) and Secure Shell (SSH) Protocol to enable you to access the remote servers with the utmost convenience.
1 Install XRDP
Install XRDP and TigerVNC.
Change default session type to Xvnc.
1.1 Avoid Authentication Require dialog

If you feel troublesome to respond to Authentication Require dialog, you can emit responce with creating PolicyKit rules which will reject Flatpak update (Or allow sudo group user to Flatpak update).
